  1. Charles Darwin (1809 - 1882)
  2. Karl Marx (1818 - 1883)
  3. Julius Wellhausen (1844 - 1918)
  4. John Dewey (1859 - 1952)
  5. Sigmund Freud (1856 - 1939)
  6. John Maynard Keynes (1883 - 1946)
  7. Soren Kierkegaard (1813 - 1855)

Do you know HOW each one of these made their mark forever? 

See if you can match up the "accomplishments" with the man . . .

A.  His economic philosophy was based on the idea that government borrowing produces prosperity.

B.  He is credited with the theory of evolution.

C.  He wrote the Bible of communism:  Das Kapital.

D.  He gave us the documentary hypothesis which applied evolution to the Bible, making Christianity a Humanistic religion.

E.  He developed the philosophy of existentialism, the idea that there is no eternal, abiding, objective truth.  Truth is what happens to you.

F.  He reinvented the human personality.  He put heavy emphasis on the sex drive.

G.  From 1904 to 1952, this man had the opportunity to make American education what it is.  He did not start with the idea that God exists.
