Is Sigmund Freud in Government Schools?

How did sexual activity get so "ordinary" and acceptable among young people?  The consequences of premarital sex should be enough of an inhibitor--or are they?  One very wise woman (my mother) said that everything changed when birth control became accessible to everyone.  She is right about that.

There is another factor that played into the huge shift toward promiscuity.  It was the old friend of psychology:  Freud.  Before him, the Christian's view of personality was that it is composed of intellect, emotion and the will.  Once Freud arrived on the scene, this all changed.  His combination of the Id (basic impulses), Ego (the real "you" that communicates with others) and the Superego (conscience) came under the command of the sex drive.  In essence, he said that you are what you are because of your inhibition, or expression of, your sex drives.  From these assumptions, Freud fostered an idea of sexual liberation. 

Once there was no need to think about morality (conscience), and the goal of human behavior became "liberation", the final key that unlocked restraint was birth control.  The stage was set for a new era of sexual expression for everyone, including children.

Public government schools, under the Secular Humanist worldview, is an incubator for the teen's immature vulnerabilities.  Given a natural inclination toward rebellion, inability to understand future ramifications and normal hormonal surges, it wouldn't take much encouragement to convince students they should be sexually active. 

And encouragment they do get.  What would happen if these same susceptible young people were told:

1. There is no right or wrong, only what's right for you.
2. Parents have old fashioned ideas about modesty and morality--they were raised under a different era
3. Abstinence is the best, but no one can do it
4. Wait until you're "ready" or "in love" to have sex
5. Use birth control when you have sex, there are vending machines in most restrooms to assist you
6. If birth control fails, abortions are easy and legal

These are common messages disseminated through public schools today.  It is, at its foundation, the ideology of the Secular Humanist worldview.  The shadow of Freud, in a very dark way, still falls over the halls of the next generation.
